Students in a 6-week summer enrichment program achieved across the board skills gains in reading, writing, and math as measured by ACCUPLACER diagnostic pre- and post-tests. To date, 93 percent of eligible Summer Enrichment Program participants are currently enrolled in college. Four students were named finalists for Act Six (ActSix.org) and two students won full-tuition, full-need 4-year scholarships from Act Six.

Following a week-long boot camp with MyFoundationsLab, 338 Laredo Community College students improved their TSIA (Texas Success Initiative Assessment) scores, bypassing one or more developmental education courses and saving an average $1241.99 tuition (in-district) per student or an estimated $114,510 for the cohort.

After Boot Camp with MyFoundationsLab, 35.6 percent of students tested out of the lowest level of developmental math; 75 percent of students tested out of developmental writing; and 82.8 percent of students tested out of developmental reading. In subsequent courses, Boot Camp completers achieved an average 63 percent success rate.
