The new Digital Interactives in Pearson’s MyLab are poised to change how you learn core economic concepts.
Organized in progressive levels, each focusing on a core learning outcome, Digital Interactives immerse you in a fundamental economic principle, helping you to learn actively. Used by instructors as a lecture tool or assigned with assessment questions for grading.
Digital Interactives are designed for use in traditional, online, and hybrid courses, and many incorporate real-time data, as well as data display and analysis tools.
Pearson eText helps you learn — both in and out of the classroom. Take notes, highlight, and bookmark important content, or interact with lecture and example videos that bring learning to life (available with select titles) — anytime, anywhere via MyLab or the app.
Not every student learns the same way and at the same rate. And now, thanks to advances in adaptive learning technology, it can feel like you're the only one in class. MyLab & Mastering with Personalized Learning assesses your performance and activity in real time and, using data and analytics, personalizes content to reinforce concepts that target your personal strengths and weaknesses.
Every week, microeconomic and macroeconomic news stories and accompanying exercises are posted to MyLab.
These exercises ask you to recognize and apply economic concepts to current events.
Real-Time Data Analysis exercises use up-to-the-minute, real-time macroeconomic data. These exercises communicate directly with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’s FRED™ site, so every time FRED posts new data, you see it.
Learning Catalytics is an interactive classroom tool that lets you use your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to participate in and stay engaged in lecture. Simply log in and respond to the open-ended questions your instructor posts during class. Your professor can use the results of these questions to help address misunderstandings, start small group discussions, or decide that you’re ready to move on to a new idea. You can also use Learning Catalytics to anonymously let your professor know that you didn’t understand something.
The homework and practice exercises in MyLab are correlated to the exercises in the textbook, and they generate algorithmically to give you unlimited opportunity for practice and mastery. Exercises include guided solutions, sample problems, and learning aids for extra help at point-of-use. If you answer incorrectly, you'll receive helpful feedback.
Ever wondered where you might need the most help in class? MyLab generates a personalized Study Plan for you based on your test results, which links directly to interactive, tutorial exercises for topics where you need the most help. These exercises provide unlimited practice and include guided solutions and multimedia learning aids to give you additional help.
Need help with homework? Everyone does once in a while. MyLab enables you to work one-on-one, in real-time with a tutor using an interactive whiteboard. Tutors will guide you through solving your problems using a problem-solving-based teaching style to help you learn underlying concepts. In this way, you’ll be better prepared to handle future assignments on your own.
*Please note that tutoring is available in selected MyLab products, and in those products you are eligible for one tutoring session of up to 30 minutes duration with your course. Additional hours can be purchased at reasonable rates.
